Frasse and Company of NY City was a large dealership and supply house offering a line of tools and machinery. In the foot powered line, they said they were the “Proprietors of the Briggs and Leader Lathes.” In addition, they made a small drill press that could be driven by a kick wheel as foot power.
There ads also showed a line of back geared screw cutting lathes that could swing up to 11 inches. It is not fully known who made the lathes for them. One thought is W.C. Young and another is Baldwin as their Babbitt line of lathes look very similar to the Leader lathe.
