Interested in antique & traditional tools?? Then Mid-West Tool Collectors Association is for you!! As a member you will get a great quarterly publication, The Gristmill with articles on tools, auctions, our meetings and other related information. Foot powered machinery shows up at our meetings and in auctions from time to time. Visit their website at www.mwtca.org for more information.
The Early American Industries Association, EAIA, is another association for those interested in early industries and antique/traditional tools. After all, you can’t really separate early tools from early industries! EAIA publishes quarterly the Chronicle as well as a Newsletter called “Shavings.” Visit their website at www.eaiainfo.org more details.
Old Wood Working Machines is a great website containing a lot of information on all types of primarily old woodworking machines. While much of what is there comes well after foot powered machinery, the site offers a wealth of information. Visit it at www.owwm.com
A sister site to OWWM is the associated Old Wood Working Machines Discussion Group, www.owwm.org This is a great place to share thoughts, get advice, meet great people and perhaps find a piece or two of foot powered machinery.
